Help animals find homes at the 13th annual Home for the Holidays pet adoption fair. More than 40 pet rescue groups and animal shelters will bring 600 homeless dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals for adoption. The fair also features dozens of pet-related vendors, gourmet food trucks, a silent auction, low-cost microchipping on-site, and an opportunity drawing.

Where: Irvine Animal Care Center, 6443 Oak Canyon, Irvine, CA

Cost: $2 per person; $5 per family. Parking is free.
