August is National Immunization Awareness Month. Vaccines, also known as shots, help protect us from serious diseases. This protection is called immunization. Vaccines can help prevent the flu, measles, pneumonia, and other diseases. All are encouraged to help raise awareness about vaccines. Talk to friends and family about how vaccines aren’t just for kids, that shots can protect people of all ages encourage people to get the flu vaccine every year.
