Winterdance, will be held here at Saddleback College Thursday November 21st, thru Saturday 23rd at 7:30pm, in the McKinney Theater. The production celebrates the artistry and abilities of the students in the Saddleback College Dance department. Showcasing a diverse selection of dances, including African, hip-hop, Latin, contemporary, ballet, jazz, ballroom and tap. Tickets are for $12 Adult; $10 for Seniors; $7 for Students; Child 12 & Under FREE.

Check out The Fall Plant Sale at Saddleback College, Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22, from 9 am to 5:30 pm, in the Horticulture Greenhouse. Come early for the best selection, there will be succulents, herbs, seasonal color, natives and much more. It is open to the public and free parking will be available in lot 14.

On Saturday Nov 23, The Surfing Santa Competition will return to Salt Creek Beach, in Laguna Niguel/Dana Point. At this two-day surf and SUP event, contestants dress up as Santa or other holiday-inspired characters and battle it out in the waves! Proceeds will benefit Surfers Healing, an internationally recognized non-profit, providing the gift of surfing to children with autism.
Learn all about The Basics of Beekeeping at the Orange County Fairgrounds and Event Center, in Costa Mesa on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the history and folklore of honeybees, and their importance in pollination and hive social structure. In addition, the class will end with a honey tasting. Registration deadline is November 21.

Automotive enthusiasts will enjoy the South Orange County Cars and Coffee which meets every Saturday rain or shine, at the Outlet Stores, in San Clemente. This is one of the largest weekly cars shows in the US and attracts a mix of 700 to a 1000 hypercars, supercars, exotics, vintage, classic, muscle and sports cars. There are also hot rods, rat rods, pickups, 4x4's and motorcycles.
The Saddleback College Fine Arts and Media Technology Department presents Concert Pianist Faina Lushtak in Recital Sunday, November 24, at 2:30pm, in the McKinney Theatre. She was born and raised in the Soviet Union and her performances have earned widespread critical acclaim. Tickets are for $12 Adult; $10 for Seniors; $7 for Students; Child 12 & Under FREE.
Beginning on Sunday November 24 through January 2nd, the Gingerbread Extravaganza will be displayed in Dana Point at the Ritz Carlton. This year’s theme features the town of Whoville from the Dr. Seuss book, How The Grinch Stole Christmas. This grand display is adorned with houses made gingerbread, colorful candy, sweet treats and baked goods.

On Monday November 25th, the Jazz Lab Ensemble features Shai Golan, who will be performing in the McKinney theater, at Saddleback College. Shai is an Israeli award-winning saxophonist who has performed with many distinguished artists on international stages. Hope for the Holidays will happen at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, on Tuesday, November 26, from 5:30 to 8 PM. Hosted by The Salvation Army Orange County , The Red Kettle Kickoff offers a special holiday celebration with live music and performances by Voices of Hope Children's Choir and The Salvation Army Brass Band.

On Saturday the 30th, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort will kick off the holiday season with the 29th Annual Lighting of the Bay celebration from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. Families will enjoy live chorale and concert performances, cookie decorating, holiday crafts and train rides. Santa Claus will take center stage at dusk arriving by paddleboard and flips the magic switch to illuminate the bay with more than 50 electric Christmas trees and holiday decorations.
