Apple Chief gets tough on privacy laws

The head of Apple is joining the call for tough privacy laws for both Europe and the United States. CEO Tim Cook made a speech in Brussels, where he promised his company is committed to protecting the personal data of its users. Speaking at an international conference on data privacy, Cook praised the European Union for introducing a new, strict data privacy law in May. He says Apple supports a similar measure in the United States — warning that personal data is being "weaponized" against technology users.
