Ladera Ranch residents don’t want traffic modifications

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council will discourage the Orange County Traffic Commission from approving any traffic projects for the intersection of O’Neill and Roanoke.

Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says traffic engineers at Monday’s meeting had presented possible solutions to traffic accidents at the intersection. They included having a traffic light and a U-turn lane in the median farther down the street.

She says residents had indicated they don’t want either option. So the Council will send a letter to the Traffic Commission indicating it doesn’t want any traffic modifications at the intersection.

Ramsey says the traffic engineers will take their findings to the Commission which will make the decision on whether any traffic improvements will occur at the intersection.
