Capistrano Unified School District may have bond measures on March ballot

The Capistrano Unified School District board tonight may pass two separate resolutions to put on the March 3rd ballot, bond measures to repair, upgrade and construct school classrooms and buildings.

District Public Information Officer Ryan Burris says one bond measure would be for voters living in the Southern Region, impacting San Clemente and Capistrano Beach.  The other bond measure would be for those living in the Western Region, impacting Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel and Dana Point.

He says the bond’s cost would be 34 dollars per 100-thousand dollars of a property’s assessed value. The bond could be for approximately 30 years.

Tonight’s board meeting begins at seven.
