Mission Viejo owns the Casta Del Sol Golf Course

Mission Viejo is now the owner of the Casta Del Sol Golf Course.

Mayor Greg Raths says the city gave a 13-million dollar check to the American Golf Corporation for the 108 acre property which includes the property behind the Marguerite Aquatics Center. The city will work on continuing the Oso Creek Trail which was stopped because it was owned by American Golf. And the trail will be beautified.

He says golf course profits will go towards improving the slopes adjacent to Casta Del Sol homes.

 Raths says the city will eventually change the name of the Casta Del Sol Golf Course.
