RuPaul, Tony Hawk, Maya Angelou join California Hall of Fame

Drag queen and TV star RuPaul, late poet Maya Angelou, soccer champion Brandi Chastain and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk are among 10 people who've been inducted into the California Hall of Fame. The others honored in Sacramento are astrophysicist and National Science Foundation Director France Cordova; writer Jeanne Houston; comedian George Lopez; celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck; winemaker Helen Turley and civil rights activist James Lawson, Jr. All either grew up or lived in the Golden State. Hawk, who was born in San Diego, even showed off his skateboarding skills on a ramp outside the event.
