4 accused of using ultralight to smuggle meth from Mexico

Authorities arrested four men suspected in an operation to use an ultralight to fly nearly 200 pounds of meth into Southern California from Mexico. Agents chased two off-road vehicles spotted in the area where the glider-like aircraft briefly landed in Riverside County. One dune buggy crashed into a canal during the pursuit. Authorities recovered 26 small containers stuffed with meth. GPS devices were also seized. Investigators say they were likely used to establish the ultralight's drop zone. All four defendants are being held without bail. They could face charges including possession and intent to distribute meth. The ultralight returned to Mexico.
