Mission Viejo will select a trash hauler web

The Mission Viejo City Council tomorrow is expected to award a ten year contract to a waste hauler.

Mayor Greg Raths says the companies hoping to secure the contract are the city’s current waste hauler Waste Management along with CR&R and Republic.

He says the companies have already presented their proposals to an ad hoc committee and staff. And tomorrow, their proposals will be explained to the council.

The services the waste hauler will provide include picking up trash from residents’ homes and businesses and street sweeping.

Tomorrow’s City Council meeting begins at six in the evening.
