Irvine State of the City Address

Irvine Mayor Donald Wagner gives his State of the City address tonight.

City Public Affairs and Communications Director Craig Reem says in the speech, Wagner will recap what occurred last year in Irvine and go over what’s expected this year.

He says issues include affordable housing and transportation along with development at the Orange County Great Park.

He says the Orange County Great Park recently opened the Anaheim Ducks Public Ice Facility, which is the largest public ice rink in the state and the country. Wagner will talk about its impact on the city recreationally and economically.

A public reception is scheduled at five this evening, followed by the State of the City Address at six. Reem says the public is welcome to attend.
