Inside the Outdoors
Inside the Outdoors is a unique, hands-on environment education program administered by the Orange County Department of Education.
Operations Manager Stephanie Smith says students are taught science through various methods including the traveling science program, where lab stations and live animals are brought to the classroom for grade specific content. It helps the teacher enhance the learning experience for science in the classroom.
Also, field trips are available in 14 Orange County locations.
Smith says Inside the Outdoors’s administrative offices are in Silverado Canyon where it owns 110 acres. Many students are able to learn science on the grounds.
She, along with Outreach Manager Yarib Dheming are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage,” which airs this evening at seven. ”Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line www.Jazz885.org.
