Dana Point’s Trolley Program will expand

The Dana Point summer trolley program will continue until at least June 30, 2024.

The Dana Point City Council has approved a cooperative agreement with the Orange County Transportation Authority which includes a nearly two million dollar grant to help cover the program’s costs.

She says the Dana Point Trolley has become the South Orange County cities’ hub. This summer it will connect with Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente. In the future, it will connect with Rancho Mission Viejo and other cities.

Lewis says the program is a great relief to visitors who don’t want to use their vehicles to maneuver around the city and park; and for businesses who lack enough parking for guests.

She says Dana Point will coordinate with the connecting cities to publicize the trolley program.
