Laguna Hills may have a new assisted living facility
The Laguna Hills City Council has agreed to allow the environmental process to proceed with Active Care which wants to construct an assisted living facility on the vacant Mazada Phillips site. It would be on two and a half acres of property on Alicia Parkway, near the I-Five freeway.
Mayor Pro-Tem Janine Heft says ideas for the property in the past included having condos built, but residents weren’t happy with it.
She says the assisted living facility will be constructed in the back of the former Mazada property. It’s unknown what will be built in front. Ideas have included a Starbucks restaurant.
