Ladera Ranch will roll out traffic safety campaign
The Ladera Ranch Civic Council will roll out a targeted pedestrian and driver safety program. This comes in the aftermath of the tragic death of eight year old boy who was hit by car while riding his bicycle.
Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says the program is called “SLOW” which stands for Stop, Look, Obey and Wave. The Council will go to each neighborhood in the community, of which there are over 100, to encourage residents to take the pledge to follow the rules of the road to insure pedestrians and drivers see each other while sharing the road.
She says in addition, the community will put on a bike fest to educate bicyclists of all ages about road rules.
