Laguna Beach calmer with the end of summer tourist season
Laguna Beach residents can more fluidly move through their city and visitors will find it easier finding parking now that the summer tourist season is over.
Laguna Beach Mayor Pro-Tem Steve Dicterow says even though the summer art festivals had continued through the end of August, he noticed a decrease of visitors around August 15. And he believes that’s due to colleges and schools starting before Labor Day.
Dicterow says during the summer, the Summer Breeze bus service which had transported guests from a parking lot near the 405 freeway and Laguna Canyon Road was very successful.
He says guests may continue to rely on the free weekend trolley service in the city which runs Friday between four in the afternoon and 11 at night; Saturday, between 9:30 in the morning and 11 at night and Sunday between 11 in the morning and eight at night.
