Alzheimer’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills.
Alzheimer’s Orange County Advocacy and Outreach Vice President Patty Mouton says the cause of the disease isn’t known. And most people don’t get a good diagnosis until they’ve exhibited symptoms for about four years.
In most people, Alzheimer’s symptoms first appear in their mid-70s.
Mouton, along with Memories in the Making Coordinator Ben Allen and South County Adult Day Services Program Director Julie Schock are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage” which airs this evening at seven.
“Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line: www.Jazz-88-5-dot-org
