Hope Lives at Project Kinship
A study commissioned by Orange County found that being supported through Project Kinship significantly reduced the likelihood that people who were formerly incarcerated would become incarcerated again. In this show, Project Kinship’s Director of Programs, Madeline Rodriguez, and Peer Navigator Coordinator, Raymond Sanchez, share how restorative practices through a trauma informed lens are providing hope, healing, and transformation in the lives of those impacted by incarceration, gangs, and violence. Advocating for Female and LGBTQIA Media Makers
UCLA’s 2022 "Hollywood Diversity Report" reported significant gains by women in key roles in the film industry. Student filmmakers Jacinda Mallari and Shelby Gleason from LoFI (Ladies of Film & Media Industry) join the show to discuss advocating for female and LGBTQIA film and media makers in predominantly male fields.
ASG Spring 2023
The Associated Student Government does more than plan campus events. Saddleback College ASG President Gloria Lee discusses ASG's advocacy efforts meeting with local representatives in Washington DC to address the top issues students are facing, such as basic needs, homelessness and affordable housing, DACA and the Dream Act, and foster youth.
