Rancho Santa Margarita eventually will have a splash park

The Rancho Santa Margarita City Council is moving in the direction of having a splash park constructed at Central Park.

Mayor Jerry Holloway says the City Council approved the contract for a company to design the splash pad. The company is expected to present several designs for Council selection at its next meeting, then send the project out to bid by construction companies.

He says the splash park will likely be completed after Labor Day due to the shortage of construction companies which build these kinds of parks.

Holloway says splash pads are popular and Rancho Santa Margarita is waiting in line behind other cities that are having them constructed.
