Ladera Ranch will get proposed transportation route update

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council tonight will see a presentation on proposals to extend the State Route 241 toll road through San Clemente.

Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says Transportation Corridor Agencies Senior Public Affairs Representative Jeff Bott will give a South Orange County Mobility update.

She says the Council wants a status report on the proposed routes that will be studied and eliminated from consideration.

She says the Council has taken a stance against routes number 9 and 18, which it believes won’t accomplish traffic relief. Route 9 is the proposed connection of the Ortega Highway to Avery Parkway and the State Route 73 toll road.  Route 18 is the proposed connection of the State Route 241 toll road to the State Route 73 toll road and the extension to Crown Valley Parkway.

Tonight’s Council meeting begins at seven, at the Oak Knoll Clubhouse at 28192 O’Neill Drive.
