Swallows Parade
We’re in the midst of the Fiesta de las Golondrinas, which means fiesta of the swallows. The swallows will officially return to Mission San Juan Capistrano tomorrow on St. Joseph’s Day.
On Saturday, the Fiesta Association will put on the 61st Annual Swallows Day Parade in San Juan Capistrano.
Fiesta President Jim Taylor says the parade is one of the largest non-motorized parades in the U.S. And the theme this year is “How the West Was Really Won, Celebrating Women of the West.” In the parade will be hundreds of horses, marching bands and a variety of other walking units.
The parade begins at 11 in the morning. More information is available on-line at www.Swallowsparade.com.
Taylor, along with Fiesta Association Vice President Michelle Erca are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage,” which airs this evening at seven.
“Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line at www.jazz885.org
