Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and the body.
MS Society PR Manager Megan O’Neal says 74 percent of people with MS are women between the ages 18 and 50. The symptoms include blindness, numbness, tingling in the body and balance issues.
O’Neal says it’s difficult to diagnose.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will host its annual Bike MS: Bay to Bay event between Irvine and San Diego Oct. 19 through the 20th.
O’Neal, along with MS Society Senior Manager Maria Brooks and longtime Bike MS participant whose wife lives with MS, Mike Puritz are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage” which airs this evening at seven.
“Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line www.Jazz885.org
