Child Care and Creating Safe Play Spaces
With summer winding to a close and school starting, parents and kids around the county are doing the normal juggling of schedules with the added challenge of distance learning. With lots of parents back to work now, many are in need of help with child care.
YMCA of Orange County has been open throughout the stay at home orders, providing child care for essential workers. In this episode we’re joined by Dolores Daly, Chief Operations Officer, and Dorain Cassell, Executive Director, Child & Youth Development.
Daly and Cassell share how The Y has created a safe environment for children to play with their friends, with safety protocols and adapting playtime to accommodate physical distancing, and how staff are supporting kids during distance learning.
